As is shown on the cross sections the final
grading of this area is in compliance with the approved topography.
Also, I have included an update of map 48A, Postmining Topography
(Eckman Park), which shows the location of the last group of cross
sections.
David, it is hard to believe that the mine will complete topsoiling
in October of this year, thus closing mining and reclamation
activities at Colorado Yampa Coal Company. During the final
reclamation of the mine you have provided positive input into the
closure of the operation. I have enjoyed the working relationship
we have developed over the years, and am hopeful it will continue
on into the future.
Please advise if the Division does not agree with CYCC's
interpretation of the cross sections and compliance with the
approved final grading plan.
Sincerely,
~~xGr/L~2d ~7G'G~
Richard Mills
Supervisor, Environmental Affairs
attachments
