Conditions appeared stable
and acceptable at ponds 005 and 009. Repairs were initiated but
will need to be completed at the far west end of the slump area
in the NE corner of pond 006. Pond 006 has been cleaned out and
a majority of the sediment was removed that was operationally
possible. The revised pond model for 006 was submitted to the
Division on 12~05~97. The Division reviewed this material and
sent out an adequacy letter dated December 17. Seneca is in the
process of preparing a response package addressing these
adequacy concerns.
If you have any questions, please call me.
S i.

Mi
En
Enclosure(s)
E.
c: Dennis Jones (SCC) ~NIY ~.`•; '{OE;c.`
Gary Wendt (PWCC)
Seneca Coal Company • P.O.
