The Grace pit amendment and all other permit <br />applications were approved with the exception of the Gai, Hamilton, and <br />Butler pits. The Board decided to continue ruling on those three operations <br />until the July Board meeting, in order to allow the staff time to compare <br />the performance standards of the 1973 Act with the condition of those pits. <br />In addition, the Board requested the staff to send a copy of the Grace pit <br />permit application to the Corps of Engineers for their information. This <br />is currently being attended to by the staff. <br />The Board also made a stipulation on both the Dolores River pit and the <br />Caldwell pit, that Nielson's obtain the proper water rights and decreed <br />use prior to using water in either of the operations. The Board chose <br />to take no position on the water augmentation issue. <br /> <br />
