• • iiiiiiiii-iiiiiiiii <br />~~~ <br />UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE <br />SOIL CONSERVATION SERVICE <br />WILDLIFE INFORMATION <br />tildlife in the general area of the existing pit and the proposed gravel <br />pit appears to be coyotes, ,jack rabbits, prairie doge, ground equirn3ls <br />and a variety of small birds. <br />The affected area is presently providing a minimal amount of cover and <br />food for wildlife sad, therefore, continued operation of esieti.ng pit <br />_ and expansion into the proposed area should not affect wildlife population <br />in the general aria of construction. <br />Due to the shortage of water there does not appear to be an economically <br />feasible method to further enhance wildlife habitat beyond revegetating <br />the area after mining operations are completed. <br />The Colorado Division of Wildlife should be consulted if detailed <br />information on aildlife is needed for the affected area. <br />page 3 of 6 <br /> <br /> <br />
