We have <br />addressed the concerns in the order and under the headijngs used in <br />your review, and have enclosed a copy of the review fo your <br />convenience. We have also made minor revisions to the application <br />drawings, and have enclosed two copies of these herein.' <br />Some changes have been made in the proposed methodls of mining <br />and reclamation. The outer embankment will be excavat~ to the <br />finished slope, and no embankment backfilling is Conte lated. <br />Embankment recoiling will occur concurrent with mining, and extra <br />topsoil will be stockpiled in those buffer zones which re above <br />the flood plain. Finally, the deposit will be mined welt, and <br />there is no foreseeable need for dewatering. We hope t e <br />following paragraphs fully answer the concerns of your (review. <br />A. Exhibit D - Mining Plan <br />1. The mine owner accepts responsilbity for ~mage <br />caused to offsite structures in accordance with <br />Colorado Law, as well as the responsiblit for <br />liability insurance as required by weld County. We <br />~~ ~<~ will advise adjacent landowners of these rlesponsi- <br />"'~~ bilities, and notify them of the pending application, <br />'~ ~ via registered mail. <br />`~ 2. Mining will commence at the southern end off Mining <br />Area I. Excavation will be achieved by dr gline, <br />and the pit will be worked wet; no dewater~ng is now <br />foreseen. The mined material will be hauled to <br />onsite crushers or screens, or be loaded dlirectly <br />into trucks for immediate sale. The operaftor <br />expects a market demand for most of the oV~erburden <br />stripped from the site. <br />
