DANIELSON, DEPUTY STATE ENGINEER
SUBJECT: DELTA SAND & GRAVEL PITS #1 ~ 2, DELTA COUNTY, APPLICATION
FOR MINED LAND RECLAMATION PERMIT
As requested by your office, we have reviewed the applications for two
gravel pits near Delta. These pits are located downstream from the
senior water rights in Water Division 4 and would probably not inj~,tre
any water users. Because the area of the pits is marshy and has l~is-
toricaily lost water through evaporation, we clo not believe that the
replacement of evaporation losses will be necessary. We, therefore,
have no objections to the proposed pits.
T ris A. Danielson
JAD/SSH: mvf
.~
cc: Ralph Kelling
