O'ColnnetA-
FROM: Hal D. Simpson, Assistant State Engineer
SUBJECT: Marathon Gold Corporation - Joker Mine and Pilot Plant
Application for Mining and Reclamation Permit, #83-52
As requested, we have reviewed the above referenced application for a placer
mine. The application states that water will be supplied to the operation
from two small reservoirs that presently exist at the site and from a well,
permit number 26081-F. The respective water rights for these sources were
adjudicated in Division 6 Water Court Cases W-881, W-882, and 81CW326. We
have no objection to this operation provided water is obtained and used in
accordance with the above referenced decrees and well permit, and Marathon
complies with other applicable water statutes. The water rights will be
administered within the priority system.
HDS/JRH:ma
cc: Wes Signs, Div. Eng.
