Re: Kremmling Airport Pit Permit Application #78-143
• Dear Mr. Funston:
In response to the questions raised in your letter of June 12,
1978, here are the answers that should complete our application
for the Kremmling Airport Gravel Pit. I have also enclosed the
proof of publication for this operation.
lA, The estimated depth of mining is 15 (fifteen) feet.
B. Direction of mining is to be in a southerly direction
from the northern edge of the permitted area.
C This mine will be active for approximately 15 yrs.
Topsoil stockpiles will be located just beyond the
~~ ~ western edge of the permitted area on land mined
{~ ~~ previously to 1973.
2A. This area will be broadcast seeded. Grand County does
- ~~ not possess the equipment necessary to drill seed.
B. It is the intention of Grand County to save as much
~`~=" topsoil as is available on the site to use for reclama-
tion up to a depth of six inches (6"). Although the
' S.C.S. soils interpretation record shows ten inches
(10") of topsoil present, this may not be the case on
this site.
