Long, <br />Division D~renor <br />Re: Receipt of Succession of Operators Application (Castle Sand Pit - Permit <br />No. M-77-213), and 112 Reclamation Permit Amendment Application (Daniels <br />Sand Pit 2 - Permit No. M-73-007SG) <br />Dear Mr. Heffner: <br />We have received your succession of operators application for the Castle Sand <br />Pit, and the amendment application for the Daniels Sand Pit 2, which are <br />located in El Pasc County. All comment and review periods for the amendment <br />application began on July 30, 1992. The decision date for the succession of <br />operators has been scheduled for October 27, 1992 (30 day decision date has <br />been waived by the operators), and the decision date for the amendment <br />application has been scheduled for October 28, 1992. <br />Within ten (10> days after submittal, you must publish notice in a newspaper <br />of general circulation in the locality of the proposed mining operation once a <br />week for four consecutive weeks. Immediately after the first publication, <br />mail a copy of the notice to all owners of record of surface rights to the <br />affected land and all owners of record of lands that are within 200 feet of <br />the boundary of the affected land. Proof of the notice and mailings, such as <br />Certified Mail - Return Receipt Requested, must be submitted to the Mined Land <br />Reclamation Division prior to the decision date. <br />The Division is reviewing the applications to determine whether they are <br />adequate to meet the requirements of the Act.
