Enclosed is a copy of the Proof of Publication in the Holyoke Enterprise and proof of notice to the landowners
surrounding the property.
2. The banks of the dry creek being excavated will be flooded on a periodic basis due to high rainfall. Since those
banks will not be seeded, the county plans to leave the banks at a slope of 2:1 when excavation occurs.
Sediment from the periodic flooding will fill the area back in over time. Any bank that is disturbed will be left
at a slope of 3:1.
3. The access road and stockpile area will be tested prior to seeding. If fertilizer is recommended, it will be
applied. The area will be worked. A cover crop will be planted. The NRCS grass seeding recommendation
will be utilized to plant grass in the cover crop between November and April.
4. An enlarged Reclamation Plan Map showing estimated ending topography is attached.
5. I hope this addresses the question's you have in your review letter. Please let me know if any additional
information is needed.
Sincerely,
~~`~~"
Randy Schafer
Phillips County Planner
RS:kac
Enclosures: Proof of Publication ~ .'- .
Proof of Mailing to Adjoining Landowners
Topography Maps
i.
1 ~
Gravel pit: haynesexhb
