Dear Ms. Goetlemoeller
In accordance with your letter request dated June 6, 2000 the dale for consideration of the Loveland Pit application has been
reestablished as July 28, 2000. In order to maintain this decision date, responses to the Division of Minerals and Geology
adequacy letter dated May l8, 2000 must be provided by July 6, 2000.

Please find enclosed the application review prepared by the Division of Wildlife, and note that Rule 3.1.8 of the
Construction Materials Rules of the Mined Land Reclamation Board requires that "All aspects of the mining and
reclamation plan shall take into account the safety and protection of wildlife on the mine site...': Please provide a plan for
the safety and protection of nesting swallows at [he Loveland Pit and submit the plan with the response to [he Division of
Minerals and Geology adequacy review.
The response [o [he adequacy review, a copy of the adequacy review letter, and a copy of this letter must be filed with the
Larimer County Clerk and Recorder not later than the close of business on the day [hat the response is filed with DMG. A
receipt of filing with [he County Clerk and Recorder must be provided to DMG (Rules 1.8.1(1) & (2)).
