The additional area that must be included is approximately <br />18 acres. This figure is calculated from a haul road length of 2.5 <br />miles (county paved road to mine boundary) and width of 60 feet (40 <br />feet width plus 10 feet r.o.w. on each side). <br />The haul road to be included is shown as a black line on the index <br />map, extending from the north side of the mine boundary in a north- <br />easterly direction along Grassy Creek to the county paved road. The <br />haul road is entirely within T5N, R87W and crosses portions of sections <br />15, 16, 20, and 21. <br />For purposes of clarification, the total area to be permitted is 747 <br />acres. This consists of 729 contiguous acres within the mine boundary <br />shown in heavy dashed lines on the premining and mining plan map of <br />Exhibit C, plus the 18 acres of the haul road from the mine boundary <br />to the paved county road. <br />If we can answer further questions in regard to this permit application, <br />please feel free to contact us. <br />Very truly yours, <br />Tommy D.
