RE: Permit Application Package, Yoast Mine Division of Mlnelals & Geology
Dear Mr. Long:
On behalf of Seneca Coal Company, Peabody Western Coal Company
is pleased to submit the enclosed permit application for the
Yoast Surface Coal Mine located approximately 8.5 miles south of
Hayden, Colorado in Routt County. Five reproducible copies of
the permit application form with original signatures are
enclosed along with three sets of the ten-volume mining and
reclamation plan. Also enclosed is Check No. 145833 in the
amount of $2500 for the permit application fee. This amount,
the maximum fee required by Rule 2, Section 1.6, includes the
general fee of $25, plus $10 per acre of affected land in the
permit area (591.2 acres).
The proposed Public Notice for this application is enclosed.
The notice will be published for four consecutive weeks in the
Steamboat Pilot per Rule 2, Sections 3.12 and 7.3(2) of the
Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for
Coal Mining once the application is deemed complete by the
Division.
The Yoast Permit Application Package (PAP) is structured in a
format similar to the Seneca II-W Mine PAP. The 26 tabs and 10
volumes should allow for easy management of the PAP in the
future.
