After reviewing the subject permit application at the Clerk and Recorders <br />Office in the Fremont County Courthouse, it appears the hydrology report fails to take <br />into account either the private wells immediately to the south or those in the mine <br />permit area. Although the mine company may feel the wells will not be impacted, the <br />permit needs to include a definitive plan to replace any water lost (contamination loss <br />as well as water table loss, or well damage due to subsidence etc.) in a timely fashion. <br />Because the wells serve private home and animals, water replacement on a temporary <br />basis should occur within 48 hours and on a permanent basis within 30 days. <br />2. County Road 79 (Chandler Road). Most of the 2.9 mile stretch of this road between <br />county road 11A and county road 77 where the Williamsburg Town limit sign is posted <br />is an unimproved dirt road in a dilapidated condition that narrows to a one lane road in <br />several places. In the past the Town of Williamsburg, which is responsible for the <br />maintenance of this stretch of the road, has not had the resources to do so properly, let <br />alone bring it up to the reasonable standard of a good county gravel road.
