G,,:':. .. <br />Dear Mike: <br />There are currently 27.3 acres of surface disturbed area <br />at Sundance Coal Company's Animas Mine. Of this amount, 24.2 <br />acres was previous disturbed by past mining operations. In <br />view of the small amount of surface disturbed area, and the Large <br />proportion which was previously disturbed, it is felt that reference <br />areas are not needed for evaluating the success of the revegetation <br />plan. <br />Information ~•iill be submitted to the Division no later than <br />November 15, 1982 concerning the proposed revegetation plan. <br />Sincerely, <br />GL/s <br />D.
