TERROR CREEK COMPANY
t7B22 FIT CH AVENUE. SUITE 2t0
IRVINE. CA 92711
TELEX: 1816"B MOOKPETRO IRIN
pu) 59.4000
March 31, 1983
Mr. Dan Mathews
Reclamation Specialist
Mined Land Reclamation Division
423 Centennial Building
1313 Sherman Street
Denver, Colorado 80202
Dear Mr. Mathews:
III IIIIIIIIIIIII III
9s9
,- -- - -,
r ._
Iiuv ~ -~':.~~
r..
The Terror Creek Company has made several minor changes to their
proposed reclamation plan due to an alteration of their access
(haulage) road plans. The attached revisions have been made to the
permit application which can be inserted in the appropriate sections
of the existing document.
The proposed post-disturbance land use remains the same but the
revegetation plan has been revised from establishment of an orchard to
irrigated pastureland. This change has been made to facilitate more
rapid revegetation of the area as reestablishment of an orchard takes
many years. A reference area has been located on Terror Creek Company
property for use in determining the success of revegetation on the
disturbed land.
The proposed haul road will be used as a permanent access to the
Terror Creek property as well as to three nearby residences. As this
road will be a permanent access to the property it will not be
reclaimed. Topsoil replacement, stabilization, and revegetation will
be accomplished on sideslopes and associated disturbed areas as soon
as construction of the road has been completed. Use of the proposed
haul road as access by the three residences is necessitated by the
recent Delta County Commissioners' decision to abandon County Road No.
4365.
Additional topsoil and subsoil (approximately 1000 BCY) removed before
construction of the haulage road will be stockpiled for later use in
reclamation of other disturbed areas. Additional topsoil was .also
salvaged before installation of the railroad siding and placed in a
topsoil stockpile. The railroad siding will be permanent, thus making
approximately 1000 BCY of topsoil available for use in reclamation of
the remaining disturbed area.

-,,
Z~acaL ~/~ocedaakd., J`ufz`zekd~ ~ ~.fJka~cekd.
