OF NATURAL RESOURCES <br />May 28, 1981 <br />Mr. Brian Munson <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, CO 80203 <br />Ref: Letter of Transmittal <br />Hayden Gulch Application (NO C-003-80) <br />Responses - Prliminary Adequacy Review <br />Dear Brian: <br />Under separate cover, we have responded to the comments out- <br />lined in your letter of March 31, 1981, concerning the adequacy of <br />our permit for our Hayden Gulch Mine. <br />These responses have been made on blue paper as ammendments to <br />the original permit application and are not replacements to the <br />original responses. Our staff has inserted these ammendments in <br />the original permit application at your office and in the copy filed <br />with Routt County in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. <br />Certain responses to your March 31, 1980 comments are requiring <br />additional study and have been so noted in the appropriate sections <br />of the permit application ammendments. The results of these studies <br />will be included as soon as they are completed. <br />Also included in our responses to your preliminary adequacy <br />review are certain drilling and analytical documents that are confi- <br />dential. They have been inserted in the Confidential Section of the <br />original permit application. These drill logs and chemical analyses <br />are confidential due to the sensitivity of the data they contain. <br />Knowledge, by our competitors, of any of the material in the section <br />would put H-G Coal Company at a competitive disadvantage in producing <br />and marketing our coal.
