I would like to <br />bring you up to date on our operations and I would like to <br />provide to you information that you have requested in recent <br />telephone conversations. Please note the following: <br />1. I have enclosed for your reference two copies of a <br />'Resolution of the Board ofi the Las Animas County <br />Commissioners, L.A.C. 91-04' wherein the Board granted approval <br />of Rimrock Coal Company Application SUP90-012 which was an <br />application for a conditional use permit to enable Rimrock to <br />conduct coal mining operations in accordance with the permit <br />application subwitted to the Alined Land Reclamation Division and <br />granted as permit C-89-074. <br />2. I Lucy Gloria Davis am the present and sole owner and <br />operator of the Rimrock Coal Company and it is my intention to <br />carry on operations under permit C-89-074. I am the widow and <br />sole heir to the estate of William T. Davis, Jr. Alr. Davis and <br />I owned the property described in permit C-89-074 in joint <br />tenancy and that property passed to my sole possession upon his <br />death in August ofi 1992. <br />3. Operations to begin mining the property outlined in permit <br />C-89-074 were delayed fiirst by the long process of gaining the <br />conditional usa permit firom Las Animas County and then by the <br />illness and eventual death ofi my husband. I am now back on <br />track with operations and I will move forward with the project <br />as soon as possible. <br />4. It is my intention to employ the fiollowing contractor to <br />mine the coal and reclaim the property in accordance with permit <br />C-89-074: <br />Randall and Blake, Inc. <br />Environmental Contractors <br />4901 South Windermere <br />
