The project <br />site is located on approximately 5900 acres of which approximately 300-400 acres will be <br />disturbed for the construction of the mine portal, prep plant, rail loop and loadout, <br />access roads, ventilation shafts, and refuse disposal azea. These facilities will be <br />located in Sections 34 and 35 of T55, R90W and Sections 4, 5, and 6 of T6S, R90W. <br />At full production, the operation is expected to mine over two million tons per yeaz. The <br />operation will utilize hydraulic mining techniques with make-up water coming from <br />SKM's water rights on Canyon Creek, Refuse from the operation will be slurry pipelined <br />to the disposal azea and dewatered. A water treatment facility is also planned for the <br />operation to clean waste water for reuse in the mine. No water dischazge into azea <br />streams or rivers is anticipated. <br />To assemble a permit to mine for the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division, we aze <br />in the process of collecting and reviewing all pertinent information from the azea. We <br />aze especially interested in a list of plant and animal species which may occur in the <br />azea that your office is concerned with.
