Gunnison Mine Plan Review <br />My staff has reviewed the mining and reclamation plan revision appli- <br />cation for the West Elk Coal Company as requested by your memorandum <br />(enclosed). We concur with the post-mining surface land uses on the BLM <br />lands (appraximateiy 120 acres). <br />The coal unsuitability criteria were not applied to these lands because <br />the leases were issued prior to 1979.
