If you would like to meet me
there any time, please call my cell phone to schedule your visit, and I will be happy to meet you there. My
cell number is 970-729-1823.
Regarding the allegations ofthe USFS that we have entered USFS property and built a levee, I want you
to know that neither I, nor anyone that I know, have been on USFS property since the large flood in 2006,
and we have already taken our beating for that with fines and court proceedings. We have never built any
levee's on their property. There has NOT been a dozer on USFS property since the 2006 flood, and all we
did at that time is move a tree blocking the channel. There has been high runoff this spring, which brought
a lot of debris down the channel, and which cut and moved a lot of rock.
Regazding the "waste oil"; it was actually water in a bucket which had a thin film of oil on top. It has
properly been disposed of.
Regarding the nitric acid; it will be moved to another site, or properly contained by 6/30/07.
Regarding the channel and sediment pond, We have had very high runoff this year. The channel and pond
were clean at the beginning of the spring. There was proper capacity at that time. However, with the high
runoff, the pond has been filled nearly to capacity. The culvert was plugged, and damaged in trying to
clean it out. As I have had a water and ~z~~stewater license in the State of Colorado, I know that the
CDPHE will not allow me to clean the pond and channel while runoff is occurring. This will put muddy
water into the river below. Therefore, as per CDPHE regulations, I need to wait until the runoff quits,
which is typically in the first weeks of July to clean the pond and channel, and comply with CDPHE
regulations.
~~ I
~~
Pv ~
Therefore, I request an extension on item number 1 only, sediment pond and spillway, of 4S days, or until
8-15-07.
