PS c'orrc~~rue - - -
a~f 10.1 v~
On behalf of Louisiana Land & Gravel Company, LLC, I offer the following response to the
Colorado Division of Minerals and Geology, Minerals Program letter dated July 14, 2003:
The letter requested a technical revision request addressing design and construction details for
spill containment.
Exhibit D of the mining permit document contains the following language:
"A 1500 gallon fuel storage tank for fueling equipment and the generator fuel
storage tank will be located in appropriate bermed and plastic lined
containments. Any hazardous materials/petroleum products stored in the
storage trailer will be stored in a containment cabinet designed for the purpose of
providing primary containment of spills."
The subject hazardous materials include fuel, oil, grease and antifreeze.
The Operator has agreed to place its surface tank(s) in an appropriate bermed and plastic lined
containment. The containment will be capable of containing the volume of the largest tank
within the bermed area. The 55 gallon drums stored outside will also be placed within
appropriate spill containment.
Based on our telephone discussion this date, the DMG has decided the language in the permit
is adequate to address spill containment. Therefore, a technical revision will not be required.
Please call if you have any questions.
~erelyC-%~
J.
