This submittal apparently outlines the property
boundaries for property owned by the Department of Transportation, however, does not outline the
present permit boundaries for the DMG reclamation permit area. The present permit area must be less
than 10 acres in size whereas the markers that are referenced in your letter indicate an ownership area
much greater than that. Please note that, on the map you sent DMG, there are three areas (Pit Area
and Stockpile Areas) that are included in the permit area. Our files indicate that the pit area includes
4.03 acres, the stockpile areas 3.41 acres and haul roads 1.79 acres for a total permit area of 9.23
acres. These are the areas that should be marked as the DMG permit area in the field.
With that information, the DMG will accept the request to extend the deadline to February 28, 2001 to
allow CDOT adequate time to mark the actual permit boundaries as denoted on the map.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call me at (303) 866-3863.
erely, „ e
Carl B.
