Timnath Connell Pit, M-1999-050
Dear Ms. Crosby,
On behalf of our client, Connell Resources, Inc., please accept the following information
in response to your Timnath Connell Pit (M-1999-050) inspection report dated
January 29, 2004. The enclosed information addresses the recommended corrective
actions and includes the attached groundwater monitoring data for the Tirnnath Connell
Pit site.
On April 7, April 8, and October 4, 1999, nine piezometers were installed to monitor
groundwater levels during the Timnath Connell Pit mining and reclamation operations.
The attached table summarizes depth to groundwater as measured from the associated
ground surface elevations. Beginning on April 17, 2003, Piezometer No. 1 has been
measured from top of pipe because grading operations have changed the adjacent surface
elevation.
In the future, groundwater monitoring data will be submitted to the Division with annual
reclamation reports as specified in TR-Ol.
