I have reduced the Caliche School Pit permit map (Permit No.
M-89-023) to approximately the same scale as the County's Couch Pit permit map (Permit No.
M-78-297) and copied them together to show their relationship. The County Pit is in Section 20;
you (:cliche School Pit is in Section 29.
2) Since the two permits aze not for the same area, the Division does not believe that permit fees should
be refunded.
3) The only way to incorporate the two areas would be to wnvert one of the permits to a I l2 (greater
than 110 acres) permit. This would require a $1,875 conversion fee; the annual fee would be $550.
Upon approval of the 112 conversion, inwrporating both permits, both of the current 110(2) permits
would be released. One of the permit numbers would be retained.
4) Without a conversion, the only way to release either or both of these permits would be to complete
the required reclamation.
~ Your photo of the sign is acceptable for the requved permit sign. You should also erect boundary
mazke:rs to ensure that you do not mine outside your approved permit boundaries.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to wntact me.
Sincerely,
f ~
k.
GreSquire
Environmental Protection Specialist
GRS/gaw
Enclosure
cc: Rick Snook, w/Enclosure
M.br~rlCwr4pr
