BOX 857
PUEBLO, COLORADO 81002
(303) 561-8350
This is in reply to Inspection Letter of March 18, 1986. I will address the
items as you have them presented. Under "Observation of Importance", these
points have been covered in my response to your inspection of the Oakleaf Pit.
Recommendations:
1. VALCO will make every effort to provide the Performance Warranty and
Corporate Surety within two weeks of notice of Board approval at the April
meeting.
2. The adequacy response answers the questions you raise here, I believe.
I also believe we will be able to protect and maintain the minimum 100' buffer
zone between the river and all mining activities.
3. The Pueblo East Pit application has been modified to include all of the
Oakleaf Pit disturbances.
Please call me if you have other questions.
1
R OCKY FO RD
LAMAR
Sincerely,
`~~
Bruce Cramb, Manager
CANON CITY
GUN NISON
