It
now appears that a policy will not be finalized in time for you to meet the January 3, 2005 deadline for your
submittal of a wee control plan for this site. DM h extended the corrective action due date, for problem
no. 4 listed in thc~May 11, 2004 inspection repo or this site, to March 31, 2005. This should allow enough
time to put together a tamarisk control plan (dependent on MLRB ruling), submit and secure approval of a
revision to the permit, and implement the control plan during the 2005 field season.
If you need additional information, please contact me at the Division of Minerals and Geology, Grand
Junction Field Office, 101 South Third Street, Room 301, Grand Junction, Colorado 81501, telephone no.
970-243-6368.
Sincerely,
Steve S.
