The Last report indicated only
2'~ acres disturbed.
There was no one on site. Equipment on site consisted of a hopper, conveyors,
generator and fuel truck.
Gravel has been stockpiled on a cultivated field on the western corner of the mine
area. Topsoil was not removed and stockpiled before this gravel teas stockpiled.
On the south boundary of the mine area are what appear to be topsoil piles, These
were not stabilized.
Itseemed that some topsoil, but not necessarily all of it, was being salvaged.
RE~iENDATIONS
1, An accurate update is needed dtowing the amount of land actually disturbed. Please
submit this within the next 2 weeks.
2. Topsoil must be salvaged wherever possible. Zf there is a reason that it cannot
be accomplished, the Division should be informed of those reasons beforehand.
3. Topsoil stockpiles should be stabilized. This can be best accomplished by seeding
with a quick-grotaing vegetative cover, Demonstrate that stabilization has been accomplished
in the next annual report.
Inspected by: :~.:~,.~'% ~- / ( i~~s ~- lC~~
Recl~tion Specialist
L!d/mt
