<br /> Dear Planning Director:
<br /> The Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34,
<br /> Article 33, Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on August 14, 2025, a
<br /> permit revision application for a permit to conduct coal mining operations, Permit No. C-1981-019
<br /> by Colowyo Coal Company L.P., was considered complete for the purposes of filing. All review
<br /> and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act and the
<br /> Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining initiate
<br /> from this date of filing.
<br /> PR-05 proposes to revise the post mine land use for the Gossard rail loop area to Moffat County
<br /> Road 51 from Rangeland to Other Treatment Facility area. The applicant is not proposing additional
<br /> surface disturbance outside of the area currently approved for disturbance.
<br /> The surface coal mining operation is located approximately 28 miles South of Craig,Colorado. The
<br /> permit area is further described as follows:
<br /> All or portions of Sections 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20,21, 22, 28, 29, and
<br /> 30 in Township 3 North, Range 93 West; Sections 7, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26,
<br /> 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33,and 34 in Township 4 North, Range 93 West; Sections 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, 12,
<br /> 13, 14, 15,22,and 23 in Township 3 North,Range 94 West;and Sections 12, 13,23,24,25, 26,27,
<br /> 34, 35, and 36 in Township 4 North,Range 94 West(all in 6th Prime Meridian).
