<br />7. LINER MATERIAL SHALL BE COMPOSED OF CLAYEY OVERBURDEN AND WEATHERED
<br />CLAYSTONE THAT BREAKS DOWN DURING PROCESSING. BEDROCK MATERIAL SHALL
<br />BE RIPPED, MOISTURE TREATED, AND ALLOWED TO AIR SLAKE FOR A MINIMUM OF
<br />ONE DAY PRIOR TO ITS PLACEMENT IN THE LINER. ALL BEDROCK MATERIAL SHALL
<br />HAVE A MINIMUM OF 75% PASS THE US STANDARD 200 SIEVE PRIOR TO PLACEMENT

<br />8. THE CLAY LINER MATERIAL SHALL BE MIXED IN THE EMBANKMENT AT THE RATIO OF
<br />4 (FOUR) PARTS CLAY OVERBURDEN TO I (ONE) PART SHALE BEDROCK MATERIAL.
<br />9. LINER MATERIAL SHALL BE PLACED IN A 9-INCH (MAXIMUM) LOOSE LIFT PRIOR TO

<br />10. A CATERPILLAR 815 OR 825 SHEEPSFOOT COMPACTOR (OR EQUIVALENT) SHALL BE
<br />USED FOR COMPACTING EFFORTS.
<br />11. THE COMPLETED LINER SHALL BE PROTECTED FROM DAMAGE CAUSED BY
<br />DESICCATION OR FREEZING TEMPERATURES BY PLACING RANDOM FILL OR A
<br />MINIMUM OF 12-INCHES PIT RUN MATERIAL ON THE ENTIRE SLOPE. ALL RANDOM FILL
<br />TO BE PLACED WITH A MAXIMUM 9-INCH LOOSE LIFT AND COMPACTED TO A

<br />1. THIS TIMNATH CONNELL PIT AMENDMENT PROPOSES TO CHANGE THE RECLAMATION
<br />PLAN TO INCLUDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR FUTURE DEVELOPMENT CONSISTENT WITH
<br />THE ESTABLISHED TIMNATH ZONING DISTRICT AND THE PROPERTY OWNER
<br />PREFERENCES. THE AMENDMENT APPLICATION FORM INCLUDES A COMBINATION OF
<br />DEVELOPED WATER RESOURCES, INDUSTRIAL/COMMERCIAL, AND RESIDENTIAL
<br />POST -MINING LAND USES. FINAL RECLAMATION PROPOSES CREATION OF STABLE
<br />LANDFORMS TO SUPPORT THE ZONING DISTRICT ALLOWABLE LAND USES. THIS
<br />COMBINATION OF MINED LAND RECLAMATION BOARD (MLRB) FINAL LAND USES
<br />WILL ALLOW FUTURE DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROPERTY CONSISTENT WITH THE
<br />CURRENT TOWN OF TIMNATH ZONING DISTRICT, REGIONAL COMMERCIAL (RC). THE
<br />REGIONAL COMMERCIAL ZONING DISTRICT INCLUDES REGIONAL COMMERCIAL USES
<br />SUCH AS LARGE RETAIL ESTABLISHMENTS, BUSINESS AND LIGHT INDUSTRIAL USES,
<br />MEDICAL FACILITIES AND OFFICES, HIGHER DENSITY MULTI -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL,
<br />AND A CONTINUUM OF LIFE -CARE HOUSING OPTIONS.
<br />2. PHASE I MINING IS COMPLETE. THE PHASE I MINING AREA IS TO BE RECLAIMED WITH
<br />A COMBINATION OF BELOW -GRADE LINED RESERVOIR, RECHARGE PONDS, AND
<br />COMPACTED BACKFILL. THE RESERVOIR LINER CONSTRUCTION HAS BEEN
<br />COMPLETED ON THE WEST AND SOUTH SIDES OF THE MINING AREA.
<br />3. PHASE 2 MINING IS COMPLETE. THE PHASE 2 MINING AREA HAS BEEN BACKFILLED,
<br />COMPACTED, GRADED, AND SEEDED FOR REVEGETATION. SEEDING WAS
<br />ACCOMPLISHED WITH THE PREVIOUSLY APPROVED RECLAMATION SEED MIX. THE
<br />WEITZEL ROAD EXTENSION HAS BEEN CONSTRUCTED AND THE ROAD AND
<br />RIGHT-OF-WAY HAVE BEEN RELEASED FROM THE PERMIT AREA. THE RELOCATED
<br />BOX ELDER DITCH HAS ALSO BEEN CONSTRUCTED IN THE PHASE 2 MINING AREA.
<br />4. RECLAMATION WILL GENERALLY INCLUDE BACKFILLING, COMPACTING, GRADING,
<br />AND STABILIZATION OF AREAS PLANNED FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENT FOLLOWING
<br />RELEASE FROM THE MLRB RECLAMATION PERMIT. MANY OF THE MINING AREAS
<br />HAVE BEEN, OR WILL BE, BACKFILLED TO ACCOMMODATE FUTURE
<br />INDUSTRIAL/COMMERCIAL OR RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT BY PLACING
<br />STRUCTURAL OR OTHER APPROPRIATE FILL MATERIAL, COMPACTING FOR FUTURE
<br />STABILITY, AND GRADING FOR DEVELOPMENT NEEDS SUCH AS STORMWATER SEWER
<br />DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION.
<br />5. AREAS OF PHASE 1 AND PHASE 2 THAT HAVE ALREADY BEEN BACKFILLED,
