Armstrong <br /> <br />RE: Dill Pit - File No. M-2009-077, Tracy and Ed Grimes <br /> Amendment (AM-2) <br /> Request for Amendment <br /> <br />Please be advised that on August 26, 2025, Tracy and Ed Grimes, whose address and telephone number are <br />47570 Hwy. 24 P O Box 399, Limon, CO 80828; (719) 740-1898, filed an application for a/an Amendment <br />(AM- 2) to M2009077, Dill Pit, which is located approximately 4.5 miles Southwest of Limon, Section 28, <br />Township 9S, Range 57W, 06th Principle Meridian, in Elbert County. <br /> <br />Adding 24.88 acres to the existing 19.4 acres, for a total of 44.28 acres. <br /> <br />A decision date has been set for November 24, 2025.Written comments or objections to the application may <br />be submitted to and additional information obtained from Ursula E. Armstrong at the Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety, 1313 Sherman St. Room 215 Denver, CO 80203, by telephone at (720) <br />793-3031. <br /> <br />Tracy and Ed Grimes is required to publish a public notice in a newspaper of general circulation in the <br />locality of the mining operation once per week for four consecutive weeks. If you wish to make comments <br />on or objections to the mine plan and/or the reclamation plan, they must be submitted within twenty (20) days <br />of the date of the last newspaper public notice to be considered in the application review process by the <br />Division. You should contact the applicant for the newspaper publication date. If we do not receive your <br />comments or any objection by the end of the public comment period, the Division will assume you have no <br />objection or comment to the proposed activity. <br /> <br />M-GR-03A-P
