CIVIL REs"VURCEs, LLC <br /> ENGINEERS & PLANNERS <br /> December 13, 2024 RECEIVED <br /> Colorado Division of Reclamation and Mining Safety DEC 17 2024 <br /> Ms. Nikie Gagnon <br /> 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215 Colorado Division of Reclamation, <br /> Mining and Saftey <br /> Denver, CO 80203 <br /> RE: Technical Revision—Bromley Lakes(Permit M-1987-049),Weld County, Colorado <br /> Dear Ms. Gagnon: <br /> The City of Brighton (the City) requests a Technical Revision (TR) to permit M-1987-049 in response to the Division of <br /> Reclamation, Mining, and Safety(the Division) site inspection report dated October 23, 2024. During the September 24, <br /> 2024 site inspection event, the Division identified two corrective actions as well as three comments to be addressed by <br /> TR. The comments/corrective actions are listed below in italics and the responses are listed in bold. <br /> ➢ Please note, the City will need to submit a technical revision to update the reclamation plan and map to show <br /> any bank stabilization measures installed around the reservoir. <br /> The reclamation plan map has been recreated by Civil Resources and updated to include a riprap slope <br /> liner and spillway structure. <br /> ➢ Implement approved weed control plan and provide proof to the Division that this has been done. If a weed <br /> control plan is not already in place, the operator shall develop a weed control and management plan in <br /> accordance with Section 3.1.10 (6) of the Rule. This plan should be developed in consultation with the county <br /> extension agency, or weed control district office and should include specific control measures to be applied, a <br /> schedule for when control measures will be applied and a post-treatment monitoring plan. This weed control <br /> plan shall be submitted to the Division as a Technical Revision to the approved plan with the appropriate <br /> Technical Revision fee of$216.00 by the corrective action date. <br /> The City has developed a plan which has been submitted with this TR. <br /> ➢ The operator shall, at the entrance of the mine site, post a sign which shall be clearly visible from the access <br /> road with the following: the name of the operator, a statement that a reclamation permit for the operation has <br /> been issued by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board;and the permit number. The operator shall submit <br /> photo documentation that a proper sign has been posted by the corrective action date. <br /> The sign has been placed at the entrance and documentation was sent to the Division on October 24, <br /> 2024. <br /> ➢ Please note, the City will need to submit a Technical Revision to update the reclamation plan map to show the <br /> house remaining in the ARA Addition area. <br /> The reclamation plan map has been updated to show the house remaining in the ARA Addition area. <br /> ➢ The City will need to submit a Technical Revision to update the reclamation plan map to show the pond and <br /> slurry wall alignment in the southeast corner of Cell 3. <br /> 8308 COLORADO BLVD•SUITE 200•FIRESTONE, CO 80504• PHONE: 303.833.1416 <br />
