<br /> Dear Sir or Madam:
<br /> The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a renewal
<br /> application for coal mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Colowyo
<br /> Coal Company L.P. on April 18, 2022 for the Colowyo Coal Mine. In accordance with Rule
<br /> 2.08.5(3)(b)of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal
<br /> Mining,we are providing notice of this proposed decision.
<br /> Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request
<br /> a formal hearing before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of date following the
<br /> first publication of the public notice by the Division in the CO Mountain News Media- Craig Daily
<br /> Press.
<br /> The surface mine is located approximately 28 miles South of Craig, Colorado. The permit area is
<br /> further described as follows:
<br /> All or portions of Sections 2, 3,4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20,21, 22,28,29, and
<br /> 30 in Township 3 North, Range 93 West; Sections 7, 13, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26,
<br /> 27,28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and 34 in Township 4 North,Range 93 West; Sections 1,2, 3, 10, 11, 12,
<br /> 13, 14, 15,22,and 23 in Township 3 North,Range 94 West; and Sections 12, 13,23,24,25,26,27,
<br /> 34, 35, and 36 in Township 4 North,Range 94 West(all in 6th Prime Meridian).
<br /> Copies of the renewal application are available for public review at the Moffat County Clerk and
<br /> Recorder,221 W Victory Way, Craig, CO 81625. A Copy of the Division's"Proposed Decision
