Everist, Inc. respectfully requests a Technical Revision to the reclamation plan for the Fort Lupton Sand and
Gravel Mine, DRMS Permit# M-1999-120. We have included DRMS's Request for Technical Revision (TR)
Cover Sheet(form) and Check# 1923 for$216.00 to cover the Technical Revision fee.
As noted in all of our approved reclamation plans-there may be reclamation changes due to changes with oil and
gas facilities. For this Technical Revision, we are slightly revising the final Reclamation Plan in the Vincent West
phase of the Fort Lupton site, due to an oil and gas operations area being removed and mined through.
Two companies -Top Operating Company and Kerr McGee Oil & Gas Company-each had an oil and gas well in
the southern half of the Vincent West phase, which they plugged and abandoned. Once the oil and gas
structures were removed, L.G. Everist was able to mine through the former oil and gas operations area in Vincent
West for additional sand and gravel reserves. This resulted in a straightening of the south-eastern perimeter of
Vincent West, a slight increase of lake area, and slight reduction of vegetative area. Please see the attached
Technical Revision Map -Vincent West of Fort Lupton Sand &Gravel - Reclamation (May-2022), showing
the reclamation change.
NOTE: Upcoming Acreage Reduction Request- Since L.G. Everist has finished the final reclamation work of
Vincent West, and we will soon be submitting an Acreage Reduction Request to the DRMS to release this area
from the Fort Lupton Sand and Gravel DRMS permit. As you know, L.G. Everist and the City of Aurora have a
Purchase and Sale Agreement in which Aurora will purchase the reclaimed water storage reservoirs of the Fort
Lupton site upon release from the DRMS permit. Aurora is developing each reservoir into municipal water
storage and is willing to accept each reservoir of the Fort Lupton site in a less than fully vegetated state.
If you have any questions or need anything else to process this Technical Revision, please contact me at either
the office- 303-286-2247, or my cell- 303-514-2778, or email-Imshults@lgeverist.com.
Sin )Ma
,
Lyn ye hults
Regulatory Manager
cc: L.G.
