May 28, 2021 Inspection Report—Corrective Action
Dear Mr. Hays,
We are writing to update you on progress towards complying with the Corrective
Action identified by Jerod Ebert in his May 28, 2021 Inspection Report .
In order to document that the Cell 4 slopes below the water surface were backfilled
and graded to the required 3:1V ratio LRM has hired PLS Corporation to conduct a
bathometric survey around the perimeter of Cell 4. The survey should be completed
by end of next week, and our official response and report issued prior to July 30,
2021. We apologize for the delay, but due to labor and equipment shortages it has
taken longer than anticipated to schedule the work.
Once we confirm the slope of the surface under the water, we will have Telesto
Solutions prepare a grading plan for any repairs that may be needed in sections of
Zones 9, 20, 25, 26, and 27. To insure that we all understand what is required,we
plan to submit the plan for regrading and reseeding for approval prior to starting the
regrading work.
Of the total 44.9 acres being reclaimed to wildlife pond and revegetated for return to
agricultural use, 27.7 acres is exposed water surface,with approximately 14 acres
successfully revegetated,and approximately 3 acres reseeded this spring.
Overall the site continues to fill in and mature with established vegetation as
identified in the May 28, 2021 Inspection Reports. The rain from this spring has been
helpful. We are continually monitoring the areas reseeded this spring and have
been watching closely in order to mow the Kochia before it seeds while also allowing
the new grass to grow with minimal disturbance. LRM is continuing to spot treat the
site for noxious weeds.
Christensen's notified us that they were concerned about the presence of Sweet
Clover, Musk Thistle, and tall grass. The sweet clover and taller grasses will be
mowed along with the Kochia this week. The tall grass was planted and has
effectively filled in as part of our reclamation. Our weed control contractor monitors
and maintains all of our sites and continues to spot treat any small amount of
