Taft Hill Road <br />Fort Collins, CO 80521 <br /> <br />Re: Iverson Mine, Permit No. M-2011-001, Notice of Financial Warranty Increase (SI-02) <br /> <br />Ms. Mikulas: <br /> <br />On February 11, 2021, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division/DRMS) denied the <br />financial warranty release request (SL-02) for the Iverson Mine, Permit M-2011-001, based on the <br />comment letter from the Division of Water Resources (DWR) dated February 9, 2021. The DWR letter <br />stated the exposed groundwater pond at the Iverson Mine was not included in any valid substitute <br />water supply plan or decreed augmentation plan. <br /> <br />Pursuant to Rule 4.2.1(4), the Office is issuing this notice to increase the financial warranty for Iverson Mine, <br />Permit M-2011-001, to $4,940,900.00. This is an increase of $4,665,600.00, as necessary to address the <br />long-term exposed groundwater liability at the site. A copy of the financial warranty calculation performed <br />by the Office totaling $4,665,600.00 dated February 28, 2021 is enclosed for review. <br /> <br />Pursuant to Rule 4.2.1(2), the Operator has sixty (60) days from the date of this notice, due July 12, 2021, to <br />increase the financial warranty.
