This stability
evaluation was to be submitted as an addendum to the annual report for this site, which is due in September 2020. Al has
requested an extension to Q 1,2021 to complete and submit the geotechnical addendum to the annual report due to the current
economic conditions and static condition of the site.
At this time DRMS approves the request for extension to submit the geotechnical stability evaluation and report, with the
required report to be submitted no later than end of Q 1, 2021. DRMS also accepts the proposal for Al to submit a memo
with the 2020 annual report summarizing a preliminary evaluation of the existing site conditions in lieu of the full stability
analysis to be provided in Q 1 of 2021.
Al has also requested that the requirement for submittal of the full geotechnical stability evaluation be reduced from annually,
to once every 5 years, until full scale high-wall development resumes at this site- at which time full geotechnical stability
evaluations would resume on an annual basis. In the meantime, until high-wall development resumes,Al proposes to submit
a geotechnical summary report with the annual report-similar to the summary to be submitted with this year's annual report.
DBMS also approves the above request for reduced full geotechnical stability evaluation reporting frequency at this time,
with the requirement that the stability summary evaluation be submitted with the annual reports. This reduced reporting
frequency may be reevaluated by DBMS based on the findings in the full geotechnical stability report to be submitted in Q1,
2021, or subsequent reports.
Feel free to contact me with any questions.
Sincerely,
Eric C.
