Bench#2 will bean average of 6'-10' removing the clay overburden. Bench#3 will
be an average of 12'-14' removing the caliche layer. Bench#4 will be an average of 14'-16' removing
the final layer of gravel. The minimum amount of area between high walls will be 20ft and will not
exceed a maximum of 60ft.Total depth of pit is not to exceed SOft. Maximum length of walls will not
exceed 200ft in length. In addition to the 200' boundary an additional 60' is to be added to the required
border to allow for reclamation purposes. We are not anticipating encountering ground water. If so,
the proper backfill of at least 2 feet of cover will be adhered to.
Reclamation of the pit shall be as follows:
Clay overburden removed from bench#2 shall be place on the additional 60'setback area described in
mining plan. Said material is to be pushed down with a dozer. After stockpiled material are pushed
down, material will be removed from the additional 60'set back from perimeter until a 3:1 slope is
achieved. The remaining topsoil will be placed on slope and seeded back to the native grass mixture
mentioned in original permit.
