Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Attn: Eric Scott
Re: Permit M-1974-086, Ralston Quarry Slide Remediation Weekly Report, 03/02/2020-
03/06/2020
Mr. Scott,
No work was done on site on Monday March 2°d,due to light snow and poor visibility. Work
started again on Tuesday the 3Td and continued through Saturday the 71h.
In the area north of the slide, pipe construction started with the lower two pipes and the
connecting run out being worked on. By the end of the week stripping started in the area north of
the slide getting ready for the cuts in that area.
Work continued in the slide area preparing the grade for the lower pipe to be installed. Work
continued on the buttress fill on the bottom of the slide area and will continue up after
installation of the lower pipe. The lower pipe in the slide area should be complete by early week
of March 9th, allowing for the buttress to continue up to and over that lower pipe.
The attached pictures give a pretty good indication of the work accomplished during the week of
March 2°d, 2020.
Ground Engineering was on site overseeing pipe installation, buttress construction and taking
required compaction tests.
Thanks,
Stan Opperman
