Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street,Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Attn: Eric Scott
Re: Permit M-1974-086, Ralston Quarry Slide Remediation Weekly Report, 02/17/2020-
02/21/2020
Mr. Scott,
During the week of February 17th Ames Construction resumed work on the site. They worked in
the area south of the main slide because this area was most conducive to dirt operations based on
site conditions. Work consisted of dozing material off the hill to match the new profile and
compacting that material at the base of the slope. Ground Engineering was onsite each day
performing over-site to the construction and onsite compaction testing. All observation reports
and testing reports will be submitted at the end of the project.
As we continue to have snow melting and hopefully get to some better weather, Ames will
expand their operation and we will continue grading south of the slide during the week of
February 24th. We anticipate beginning pipe installation as weather permits.
Thanks,
Stan Opperman
