Box 160 JUN 18 2019
Arvada, CO 80001
MANDOF tION
June 13, 2019
Lucas West
Environmental Protection Specialist
Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining & Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Dear Lucas:
As a follow up to our conversation, I am writing to request an extension for the Q1 2019 water
sampling requirements for permit no. M-1981-185 for the May Day Idaho Mine Complex. As
communicated in March, the snow at the site was too great to complete the Q 1 water sampling
by end of March.
The snow has started to melt enough that we believe our consultant, Kelly Haun from SGM, will
be able to access both the lower and upper sites to complete the water sampling. Kelly plans to
visit the site either tomorrow or Monday to assess the situation. The La Plata River is at flood
levels, so I also want her to confirm both the bridge and site are in safe condition. Assuming
everything looks good, Kelly plans to complete the water sampling by June 25`h. As discussed,
the plan is to use this set of samples to satisfy both the Q1 and Q2 2019 requirements.
Sincerely,
a inatsis
Manager of Sunrise Mining, LLC
sglinatsisQdiamondhi I I farm s.com
308-760-8925
