Box 541 <br />Nucla, CO 81424-0541 <br /> <br /> <br />Re: New Horizon Mine (Permit No. C-1981-008) <br /> Revision: TR-86 <br /> Goforth Stock Pond <br /> <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Goforth: <br /> <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety has received an application for the above <br />referenced permitting action for the New Horizon Mine. The application was deemed complete on <br />October 30, 2018. <br /> <br />TR-86 is proposing to re-construct a stock pond on the Goforth property. The pond existed prior to <br />mining and is being re-constructed at the request of the landowner. The pond is not designed for <br />sediment control and it will it not be used for sediment control or in support of any other mining <br />activity. The applicant is not proposing additional surface disturbance outside of the area currently <br />approved for disturbance. <br /> <br />Permit Revision (PR), Permit Renewal (RN), or Technical Revision (TR) application materials are <br />available for review at the Montrose County Courthouse, 300 Main Street, Nucla, CO 81424 and at <br />the Division’s Denver office.
