Chauncey Luttrell <br />Grey Rock Aggregate Company, LLC <br />PO Box 342 <br />Montrose, CO 81401 <br />Re: Grey Rock Aggregate Company, Moonscape Pit M-1997-027, Technical Revision No. 2 (TR -02) Adequacy <br />Review <br />Dear Mr. Luttrell: <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (Division) approved your Technical Revision submission on <br />May 17, 2018. <br />The request has been deemed complete and the Division is now in the process of reviewing the above <br />referenced Technical Revision in order to ensure that it adequately satisfies the requirements of the <br />Colorado Land Reclamation Act (Act) and the associated Mineral Rules and Regulations for the Extraction <br />of Construction Materials (Rules). During review of the material submitted, the Division determined that <br />the following issue(s) of concern need to be adequately addressed before the Technical Revision can be <br />considered for approval. Please provide the following: <br />1. A letter from Delta County granting permission to use glass in Road Base on any road in Delta <br />County. <br />2. Will the road base be for Chip Seal, Asphalt orjust gravel Road Base? Please clarify the application <br />in detail of the material. <br />3. Will the breakdown of glass fragments create unnecessary dust that could be detrimental to human <br />health and safety? <br />Please submit your response(s) to the above listed issue(s) by Thursday, lune 21, 2018 in order to allow <br />the Division sufficient time for review. If you cannot address the above issues by June 21, 2018 please <br />request an extension to the decision due date to ensure adequate time for the Division to review <br />materials.
