U
J&T Consulting, Inc.
June 8, 2018
Department of Natural Resources el
,ilh , i
Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety
Mr. Eric Scott (XVISION OF RECLAMATION,
Environmental Protection Specialist, P.G., R.G. MININO AND SAFETY
1313 Sherman Street
Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
RE: Response to Preliminary Review of a 112 Construction Materials Reclamation Permit
Amendment Package, Derr Pit, Permit M2008-017
Dear Mr. Scott:
J&T Consulting, Inc. and Broken Arrow Investments, LLC have reviewed the comments we
received in your "Preliminary Review of a 112 Construction Materials Reclamation Permit
Amendment Package, Derr Pit, Permit M2008-107" letter dated March 15, 2018. Below are the
comments and the corresponding responses that have been provided to address the comments.
EXHIBIT C - Pre-mininq and Mining Plan Map(s) of Affected Lands (Rule 6.4.3): While the
Exhibit_C map as provided appears to contain most of the required information,
compressing it into one black and white map makes it very difficult to read. Please
separate the required information into more legible maps. The current and proposed
permit boundary should be clearly delineated on all figures. DRMS suggests the following
breakout of the provided/required information, but is open to other arrangements as long
as all required information is present and easily legible:
C-1 Adjacent surface owners/info with parcel lines/lot lines, contour data,
vegetation data, and floodplain boundary (floodplain delineation not visible on
current map).
C-2 All structures and utilities and ownership information within, and within 200' of, the
proposed permit area and proposed mining setbacks. This data should correlate to
structures and structure agreement information provided in Exhibit S.
C-3 Mining Plan Map - show proposed mine phases, mining limits, and all mining related
features (slurry wall, topsoil and overburden stockpiles, plant and scale locations,
buildings, typical mining section, dewatering pond, etc.).
Response:
Exhibit C maps have been updated as requested. See the attached updated Exhibit C
maps.
M 305 Denver Avenue—Suite D•Fort Lupton CO 80621 • Ph: 303-857-6222• Fax: 303-857-6224
