We understand that DRMS's key concern is that the modeled pseudo-static factor of safety
(FOS) for design section C-C' is not consistent with new guidance provided in a recent DRMS
memorandum on industry standards of care relative to FOS. To address this concern, Climax
requested Golder to prepared the attached technical letter that provides additional information as
discussed during the June 20 teleconference demonstrating that the post closure FOS of 1.0 for
Section C-C' is appropriate and acceptable.
Climax appreciates your consideration of this letter and attachment in response to the DRMS TR-25
adequacy review. Please contact me at 719-486-7584 or rlazukafmi.com you have any further
questions on the TR-25 report by Golder.
Sincerely,
Raymond Lazuk
Environmental Manager
enc.
