Section 01510 Temporary Utilities <br />PART 1 — GENERAL <br />1.1 UTILITIES <br />A. Contractor shall furnish all temporary utilities necessary for construction. <br />1.2 WATER <br />A. Potable water is not available for Contractor use at the San Luis Water Treatment Plant. <br />Contractor is responsible for providing and hauling potable water to various work areas <br />of the Site. <br />B. Non -potable water is available at the San Luis Water Treatment Plant. This water may be <br />used for concrete mixing, compaction moisture conditioning, dust control, vehicle <br />washing, etc. Contractor is responsible for hauling non -potable water to various work <br />areas of the Site. Contractor is to coordinate with Site Manager for water availability. <br />1.3 ELECTRICITY AND LIGHTING <br />A. Contractor is responsible for providing all power necessary for the Work for Contractor's <br />temporary power needs. Power is available for Contractors use at the San Luis Water <br />Treatment Plant. Power at this location may only be used with permission and <br />coordination with the Owner. Temporary power to be in accordance with applicable <br />codes. <br />B. Contractor is responsible for providing all temporary lighting necessary for the Work. <br />1.4 SANITARY FACILITIES <br />A. Contractor shall furnish temporary sanitary facilities at the site in the usable vicinity of the <br />construction for the needs of construction workers and others performing Work or <br />furnishing Services at the site. <br />B. Contractor shall properly maintain sanitary facilities of reasonable capacity throughout <br />construction periods. <br />1. Furnish at least one toilet for each 10 workers per construction location. <br />2. All waste is to be hauled off the site. <br />C. Contractor shall enforce the use of such sanitary facilities by personnel at the site. <br />1.5 FIELD OFFICE <br />A. Provide utilities as needed.
