The Permit
Amendment No. 1 Application (AMO 1) for the Hazeltine Mine was filed with the Division on December
30, 2015, by Aggregate Industries - WCR, Inc. (Applicant). The Applicant filed this amendment to the
approved permit, to incorporate a Permanent Groundwater Mounding Mitigation Plan(Permanent Plan).
On September 1, 2016, DRMS received a technical revision to the pending AMO1 application to address
adequacy issues identified by the Division.
This letter is to inform you that the public comment period will be re-opened for 20 days from the date
of this notice to allow for any additional comments on the content of this revision from previously
commenting agencies and parties. Please note that any additional comments made within this 20 day
period must be restricted to the content of this technical revision.
The revision submittal is available for viewing on-line at the DRMS website http://mining.state.co.us/
under the "Reports & Data" - "Imaged Documents Data" link. The easiest way to access the revision
submittal is to enter the permit number (m2004031) in the laserfische screen search field, then sort all
displayed documents by descending date order by clicking on the "doc date" column heading twice.
That will display all available permit documents from most recent to oldest, and should place the
revision document at the top, or very near the top, of the displayed list.
The Division's recommendation date for AM-OI is currently set for September 26, 2016. Copies of the
Division's recommendation to the Board for approval, approval with conditions, or denial of the
application will be forwarded to all parties and interested persons no less than 3 working days before the
Pre-hearing conference date.
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, CO 80203 P 303.866.3567 F 303.832.8106 http://mining.state.co.us * *'
John W.
