TR-8 seeks to construct a bio-reactive bed and
groundwater infiltration system as part of an integrated passive treatment system.
The preliminary adequacy review has asked for clarification on the source of topsoil. Ouray
Silver Mines Inc. (OSMI) has determined that the topsoil will be imported from off-site. We are
currently evaluating vendor/source options. The decision to import top soil for TR-8 will keep
the existing stockpiled topsoil available for future reclamation use, consistent with our current
bond.
The Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety's continued guidance and assistance in OSMIs
efforts to ensure the long-term protection of surface water and groundwater at the Revenue is
greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
"d k
inton L.
