In conjunction with development, mining, and related operations for the
Wolf Reserve, TC plans to add an additional crusher within the existing Washplant building. Installation of this
additional equipment will require extension of the building foundation on the southeast corner of the Washplant;
construction of a building extension for maintenance access to the new crusher; construction of two additional
support piers, a 20 -foot extension of the existing electrical room, and a new metal walkway and stairs; and
construction of an additional concrete support pad and containment structure for an additional electrical
transformer. The Washplant building extension will have a footprint of 11.3 feet x 19.2 feet and will extend to 34
feet above grade, with a sloping roofline connecting it to the existing building. The electrical equipment room will
be approximately 8 feet x 20 feet and will be supported by two existing concrete piers and two new piers. The new
walkway will be approximately 4 feet wide and 28 feet long and will be supported by beams extending from the
electrical equipment room. The additional transformer pad will be 10.5 feet x 11.75 feet. The building extensions
will be steel frame with coated corrugated metal siding.
The planned foundation and building extensions will be within the existing Washplant disturbance area, so there
will be no new or additional surface disturbance, no additional environmental studies are required, no additional
soil material stripping will occur, and all areas are addressed by the existing drainage and sediment control
structures. The Washplant installation will remain in place as long as needed to support ongoing and future mining
and related activities. Reclamation of this installation will involve removal of the installed equipment, salvage or
demolition of the building enclosures and pads, demolition of concrete piers to at least 3 feet below final grade,
removal from the site or placement of concrete demolition debris as fill in the mine portal area, regrading and
drainage reestablishment, soil material replacement, and revegetation.
This submittal includes revised PAP text and exhibits addressing the location, configuration, operation,
maintenance, and reclamation of the proposed Washplant modifications. New and revised PAP materials are
identified by the attached Summary of Revisions/Additions. We would like to proceed with this project as soon as
possible, to support our ongoing mining activities. We, therefore, appreciate your consideration, cooperation, and
assistance in facilitating timely review and approval of this revision application. After you have opportunity to
review the accompanying information, please feel free to contact me with any questions or to discuss submittal
materials or related matters.
Best regards,
Twen e Coal CSA
erry ettl
Manager E 1 amental Affairs
