The new pipeline will run from the IORT/ 6MN <br />junction paralleling the existing IORT pipeline and tying back into the existing mine water return <br />pipeline past the Barricade Chamber. The new pipeline will consist of approximately 6,590 feet of <br />buried 10 -inch HDPE pipe at a depth of 5 feet to 6 feet below the existing grade. An 8 -foot diameter <br />CMP riser will be installed along with the pipeline for valve control access next to the excising CMP <br />riser at the junction of IORT/6MN pipeline and the existing TORT pipeline. The water transfer <br />pipeline, and associated valving will allow transfer of water from the Wolf Creek Reserve mine <br />workings and the overlying accumulations of water in the sealed and abandoned Wadge Seam <br />workings to be transferred to the existingmine water handling system. The additional IORT pipeline <br />will also provide additional flow capacity, while limiting operation pressures when pumping from <br />multiple locations. <br />Installation of the second pipeline will parallel the existing IORT pipeline and will take place within <br />the existing l ORT pipeline corridor. There will be no new disturbance for installation of the new l ORT <br />pipeline; therefore, further environmental assessment was not necessary. In addition, the existing <br />reclamation cost estimate from the existing IORT pipeline will still be valid due to no new <br />disturbances, therefore, no further cost estimates for reclamation will be necessary. <br />All piping will be 10 -inch thermally fused High -Density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, and will be buried <br />a minimum of 5 -feet deep so that it is below the normal frostline. An 8 -foot diameter CMP access riser <br />will be installed to protect the associated valves and provide inspection/maintenance access. <br />Installation of the additional TORT Pipeline and access riser will involve placement of construction <br />erosion controls (silt fence and/or straw wattles), removal and windrowing of soil materials; <br />excavation, placement, and backfilling around the risers; trenching in most areas for pipeline <br />placement; placement of suitable bedding materials; placement, connection, and pressure testing of the <br />pipeline; backfilling and compaction of suitable fill materials around and over the pipeline; backfilling <br />and compaction of the trench; regrading; replacement of soil materials; and revegetation of all <br />disturbed areas. It is not anticipated that any of the planned activities will occur within stream buffer <br />zones. <br />
